{"id":11017,"date":"2020-03-10T13:34:02","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T11:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-ayuntamiento-viaje-dia-mujer\/"},"modified":"2020-03-11T13:35:33","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T11:35:33","slug":"mojacar-council-trip-women-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-council-trip-women-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car Council\u00b4s Women\u00b4s Day Trip to \u00dabeda and Baeza"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>With International Women&#8217;s Day on March 8th in mind, Moj\u00e1car Council organized a trip to Ja\u00e9n, taking in \u00dabeda and Baeza, for the annual weekend getaway which is always seen a as a great opportunity to take a break from the daily routine and have some fun. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The destination had been chosen by the women themselves, a World Heritage Site since 2003 and, a perfect destination that combines history, tradition, landscape and great regional food.<br \/>\nWith their guide, they began in \u00dabeda, taking in the panoramic views of this 6,000 year old city with visits to the Plaza V\u00e1zquez de Molina, Palacio D\u00e9an Ortega, Capilla del Salvador and Basilica of Santa Mar\u00eda de los Reales Alc\u00e1ceres.<\/p>\n<p>The actual day of celebration was spent in Baeza, with a guided tour around the Renaissance buildings and the classrooms where the famous Spanish poet Antonio Machado taught his French and literature classes.<br \/>\nAs always, the whole trip was a great success for the group of 40 women, aged between 30 and 80 years old, who all enjoyed being in each other\u2019s company whilst touring the beautiful Ja\u00e9n area. A big thank you went to local Councillors Ana Garc\u00eda and Mar\u00eda Luisa P\u00e9rez also, who accompanied on the trip.
