{"id":11036,"date":"2020-03-13T18:31:01","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T16:31:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/la-mujer-en-el-flamenco-concierto-didactico-alumnos-ies-alabez-mojacar\/"},"modified":"2020-03-13T19:46:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T17:46:59","slug":"workshop-flamenco-ies-alabez-mojacar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/workshop-flamenco-ies-alabez-mojacar\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car\u00b4s Rey Alabez students attend musical workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>To celebrate International Women&#8217;s Day, Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Rey Alabez secondary school pupils recently attended a fascinating session entitled \u201cLa Mujer en el Flamenco\u201d at the town\u2019s Centro de Usos M\u00faltiples.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The different range of performances relived the role of women and their part in the evolution of the flamenco world, explained through music, song and dance. The story  highlighted artists such as Lola Flores, La Ni\u00f1a de los Peines, one of the first leading female figures to make history in the flamenco world with her own company and individual style of singing and, Ni\u00f1a Pastori, a leading light in music and the folkloric copla style of singing.<br \/>\nIt is thought that the festive Spanish art form of flamenco began in the home, the place where women played such an important role and, it was very common for them to start dancing or singing at impromptu gatherings.
