{"id":14124,"date":"2020-04-09T11:07:59","date_gmt":"2020-04-09T09:07:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/?p=14124"},"modified":"2020-04-09T11:08:18","modified_gmt":"2020-04-09T09:08:18","slug":"mojacar-disinfection-cleaning-firefighters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-disinfection-cleaning-firefighters\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car Council steps up disinfection measures"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Each morning, a tanker and truck from the fire station are disinfecting the old town and the beach area.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Two crews from the Levante Almeriense Fire Fighting and Rescue<br \/>\nConsortium are reinforcing Moj\u00e1car Council\u2019s cleaning and disinfection<br \/>\ncampaign, that has been in action since the state of alarm was declared due to<br \/>\nthe COVID-19 crisis.<br \/>\nEach morning, a tanker and truck from the fire station are disinfecting<br \/>\nthe old town and the beach area, with particular attention paid to the places<br \/>\nand surroundings that sees the greatest influx of people such as, bus stops,<br \/>\nbanks, pharmacies and supermarkets.<br \/>\nThe disinfectant used by the 7 Consortium firefighters is sodium<br \/>\nhypochlorite, with a total of 17,000 litres added to that being used by the<br \/>\nmunicipal cleaning service for their regularly street cleaning and disinfection<br \/>\nof the town\u2019s streets.<br \/>\nThere is also a truck, owned by the municipal cleaning service, with a<br \/>\n2,500 litre capacity and two operators with manual equipment that disinfects<br \/>\nthe busiest points every 48 hours, as well another truck that gives the streets a<br \/>\nthorough daily clean.<br \/>\nThese are all actions that Moj\u00e1car Council will maintain while the state<br \/>\nof alarm lasts, as it is seen as a vital sanitary measure to avoid the spread of<br \/>\nthe COVID-19 virus.<br \/>\nThis commendable work by the firefighters is being done voluntarily<br \/>\noutside their normal working hours, by combining shifts and breaks so as not<br \/>\nto leave their firefighting and rescue duties unattended. The sodium<br \/>\nhypochlorite that is being used is supplied by Moj\u00e1car Council, along with all<br \/>\nthe necessary materials for the various actions that are currently in place..<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each morning, a tanker and truck from the fire station are disinfecting the old town and the beach area.
