This offer for family tourism is set up in more than 50 destinations and museums throughout the country.
The aim of this interesting initiative is to maintain the interest of the youngest in their cultural visits and make it possible for families to enjoy discovering historic-cultural heritage together.
The Marco Topo adventure is made up of a map of the town with a marked route, a sheet of stickers and a web app on which there are set out different challenges and questions which invite the exploration of Mojácar and the investigation of its cultural, historic and scenic wealth.
Mojácar has chosen ¨Marta Topo¨ as a character in the game. She’s an endearing Mojácar woman who will be the person responsible for guiding the vistors aged from 0 to 100 around Mojácar’s most emblematic corners.
To play Marco Topo you just need to pick up the free map of the adventure at the Mojácar Tourist Office and have a mobile phone with an internet connection. Once the family has the map, they introduce the adventure code (MTMOJACAR) on the Marco Topo website (www.marcotopo.com) and start to play.
The game consists of visiting the places indicated on the map, solving different challenges with the mobile phone and putting in place on the map the sticker corresponding to each test passed. On finishing the game, the participants receive as a prize a diploma, which is sent to the email with which they have registered.
As well as promoting family tourism, the game is also ideal for Mojácar families to rediscover the locality through playing. What’s more, Marco Topo is used for educational visits by school groups.
Near to Mojácar there are Marco Topo games in Lorca and Caravaca de la Cruz in Murcia, and Elche in Alicante.
