{"id":15988,"date":"2021-08-24T17:46:13","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T15:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/mojacar-anfitriona-del-circuito-provincial-travesia-nado\/"},"modified":"2021-08-24T17:48:39","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T15:48:39","slug":"mojacar-hosts-open-water-swimming-provincial-circuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-hosts-open-water-swimming-provincial-circuit\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car hosts open water swimming provincial circuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>The third race in the Open Water Swimming Provincial Circuit has been held in Moj\u00e1car. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The event was organized by Moj\u00e1car Council with the collaboration of the Almer\u00eda Provincial Council and the coordination of the company AT-Sport Eventos.<br \/>\n\tThe race took place on the Vista de los \u00c1ngeles beach with a total of 175 participants from different parts of Almer\u00eda and other Andaluc\u00eda provinces. This meant it was a success in terms of participation and a demonstration of the interest which this kind of event sparks among open water swimmers.<br \/>\n\tThe swimming circuits were adapted to each category: the category for minors and adapted covered a distance of 200 metres; the junior category, 1,000 metres. The rest of the categories covered 2,000 metres, equivalent to two laps of the proposed circuit.<br \/>\n\tFollowing a digression due to the anti-Covid health measures, one of the sporting traditions which sparks most interest, both among professional sportspeople and amateurs, got back under way.<br \/>\n\tThe consolidation of this circuit among adapted sport swimmers and their inclusion in a category on top of the existing ones is particularly noteworthy. It\u2019s an interest which Moj\u00e1car Council and the Provincial Council have as a goal to equalise opportunities among Almerians, whatever their condition.<br \/>\n\tSports Councillor, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1, and Tourism Councillor, Emmanuel Ag\u00fcero Leclerc, were there for all the races. They also presented the prizes to the winners.<br \/>\n\tThe Sports Councillor expressed his satisfaction at the smooth organisation of the sporting event, which took place without any kind of incident. He also wanted to highlight the importance of these initiatives in promoting the pairing of sport and tourism, Moj\u00e1car having the ideal setting for combining both activities, and in which the whole family can take part.<br \/>\n\tWith the final qualifying event for this Open Water Swimming Provincial Circuit still to go, and which will take place in Almer\u00eda, for the moment, Daniel Mu\u00f1oz from the Almer\u00eda Swimming Club in the Male Category and Laura L\u00f3pez in the Women\u2019s Category stand out as possible overall winners in this 2021 circuit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The third race in the Open Water Swimming Provincial Circuit has been held in Moj\u00e1car.
