{"id":16054,"date":"2021-09-02T09:25:44","date_gmt":"2021-09-02T07:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/?p=16054"},"modified":"2021-09-02T09:25:44","modified_gmt":"2021-09-02T07:25:44","slug":"participation-success-for-the-10th-mojacar-town-paddle-tennis-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/participation-success-for-the-10th-mojacar-town-paddle-tennis-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation success for the 10th Moj\u00e1car Town Paddle Tennis tournament."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Moj\u00e1car has hosted the 10th Moj\u00e1car Town Paddle Tennis Tournament, organised by the Local Council\u2019s Sports Department, which as ever attracted great interest among fans of the sport.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\tWith 50 participants, among them locals and people from different parts of the region, the 10th Moj\u00e1car Town 2021 Tournament saw the highest participation in the competition to date.<br \/>\n\t The La Mata Sport Centre courts were the venue for the different events, which were very hard-fought and with a high turnout from the public, who, following all the social distancing and face mask recommendations, cheered on their teams at all times.<br \/>\n\tIn a very hard-fought competition, the winners in the men\u2019s category A were the pair made up of Antonio Alarc\u00f3n from Moj\u00e1car and Iv\u00e1n Segura. In the women\u2019s category A, first place was for Pilar Belmonte and Elena Fern\u00e1ndez.<br \/>\n\tIn the men\u2019s category B, Mario Belmonte and Miguel Ruiz from Moj\u00e1car took first position. The pair who came second, Carlos Garc\u00eda Alix and Rosendo Alarc\u00f3n, also from Moj\u00e1car, should be highlighted. They fought a close final, keeping the audience entertained. In the women\u2019s B categories, Arancha de Pedro and Elena Becerra took first place.<br \/>\n\tMoj\u00e1car Council Sports Councillor, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1, was in charge of presenting the prizes, which were donated by Moj\u00e1car Council. The local authority was also in charge of providing the refreshments for the participants.<br \/>\n\tThe good performances of local sportspeople, who even improved on last year\u2019s excellent rankings, is worth noting.<br \/>\n\tFrancisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1 expressed his gratitude to all the sportspeople for being there despite the inconveniences, both for players and members of the public, which following the health recommendations mean.
