{"id":16782,"date":"2021-12-23T18:12:50","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T16:12:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/ayuntamiento-mojacar-la-fundacion-valparaiso-reanudan-las-becas-artistas-internacionales\/"},"modified":"2021-12-24T11:39:57","modified_gmt":"2021-12-24T09:39:57","slug":"mojacar-council-and-the-valparaiso-foundation-resume-grants-for-international-artists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-council-and-the-valparaiso-foundation-resume-grants-for-international-artists\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car Council and the Valpara\u00edso Foundation resume grants for international artists."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Moj\u00e1car Council and the Valpara\u00edso Foundation have in December resumed their collaboration in their work to promote creation and research in the field of fine arts, and with it the grants to artists, which over the years have brought together in the locality creators from all over the world.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Interrupted by the pandemic, this month Moj\u00e1car has once again received six artists: Spanish filmmaker and photographer Javier Morales; visual artist B\u00e1rbara Arcos; Mar\u00eda Rosa Ar\u00e1nega, also a visual artist and researcher; photographer Carlos Aguilera; Haitian poet Luis Bertony; and New York painter Caritas Young.<br \/>\n\tJavier Morales is part of the Granada-based audio-visual production company \u00cdnsula Sur, made up of a multi-disciplinary collective of creators of numerous documentaries. They also make creative content for brands and agencies. They have received numerous mentions and nominations at prestigious contemporary art festivals, and have clients such as Estrella Galicia, the University of Granada, Catalana Occidente, Huawei, etc.<br \/>\n\tB\u00e1rbara Arcos is a University of Granada Fine Arts graduate. She has a masters in research and creation in the arts from the Madrid Fine Arts Faculty. She is currently working on researching the categories of limit, stability and permanence in the subject<br \/>\n\tAlmer\u00eda-born Mar\u00eda Rosa Ar\u00e1nega is the illustrator of, among others, \u201cThe miedo de los ni\u00f1os\u201d (The children\u2019s fear), written by Antonio Mu\u00f1oz, and author of numerous publications, some of them in the Antonio Gala Foundation collection for young creators.<br \/>\n\tCarlos Aguilera is a \u201cphotojournalist\u201d, and with his work he tries to get to the bottom of things from a very particular perspective. He\u2019s not interested in the apparently \u201cnice\u201d, the superficial, rather the opposite. His passion lies in capturing the process behind the official version, \u201cwhich always shows a reality closer to that which it is intended to show.\u201d<br \/>\n\tBorn in Haiti, Luis Bertony, studied law, but his life is in poetry.
