It was organised in Moj\u00e1car by Antonio Casado and the producers JaG Dreams in collaboration with Moj\u00e1car Local Council with the aim of publicising new movie and short film directors who lack opportunities to screen their directorial debuts or works. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\tFour shorts were screened in this first competition: \u201cJuan 2:23\u201d, \u201cQuerido diario\u201d (Dear diary), \u201cEstoy muy enfadao\u201d (I\u2019m very angry) y \u201cRuido\u201d (Noise). The first short is by an audiovisual student at the Universidad de Carlos III. The second is by high school students carrying out an audiovisual study on gender-based violence from the perspective of an adolescent. The third is an initiative by the \u00c1guilas academy, TID, which teaches courses on all aspects of film under the direction of Benito Rabal, son of the well-known film actor Francisco Rabal. The short film \u201cRuido\u201d, with a script and directed by Antonio Casado, also featured the screening of the \u201cMaking of\u201d of the filming.<br \/>\n\tThe competition also provided an opportunity to enjoy the screening of the teaser or trailer of what will be the film \u201cUn nuevo amanecer\u201d (A new dawn), on which Antonio Casado has also collaborated and with music by the composer David Miralles, an Andaluc\u00eda Film Academy award-winner.<br \/>\n\t\u201cUn nuevo amanecer\u201d tells the true story of a famous actress who was murdered by her ex-husband at the Cervantes Theatre in Almer\u00eda during a performance.<br \/>\n\tAttending this first edition of the competition were Moj\u00e1car local authority members Emmanuel Aguero, Tourism Councillor, and Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1, Finance Councillor.<br \/>\n\tThe event was staged at the Senior Citizens hall, with a capacity audience and excellent feedback from spectators, who are now looking forward to the second edition.<br \/>\n\tThe 1st Moj\u00e1car Short Film competition was created with the aim of promoting young directors and is linked to the Almer\u00eda and Moj\u00e1car cinematographic tradition.<br \/>\n\tLand of cinema, of artists, and the setting for many of the best films to be shown in the world\u2019s top movie theatres, Moj\u00e1car, thanks to the local council, is returning to its vocation for the scenic arts and collaborating with this initiative, which it is hoped will open many doors to the province\u2019s young talents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 1st Moj\u00e1car Short Film Competition has been held in Moj\u00e1car.
