The costume of a Moj\u00e1car woman represents Almer\u00eda in the Seville Museum of arts and customs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\tThe typical costume of Moj\u00e1car is on display in the Seville Museum of Arts and Customs as part of a temporary exhibition titled \u201cSomos Abril, Andaluc\u00eda y sus fiestas a trav\u00e9s de la Moda\u201d (We are April, Andaluc\u00eda and its festivities through Fashion), organised by the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda\u2019s Regional Ministry of Tourism.
\n\tThis exhibition, which opened its doors on the 6th of June and which will remain open until the 21st of June, aims to highlight the importance of fashion and tourism in the Andaluc\u00eda autonomous community through a space dedicated to each of its provinces and in which there are three characteristic garments of each.
\n\tAt the suggestion of the Moj\u00e1car Council Tourism Department, and the exhibition curator, the Moj\u00e1car \u201cTapada\u201d (item of clothing to cover the head and face), has been chosen as one of the characteristic costumes of Almer\u00eda with the aim of highlighting this attire, as unknown as it is spectacular, and that has connections with other Andalucia regions such as the Axarquia, and even crossed borders thanks to the \u201cTapada Lime\u00f1a\u201d, in the 19th Century.
\n\tIn the space dedicated to Almer\u00eda province, accompanied by a promotional video about the province provided by the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, you can find along with the typical costume of Moj\u00e1car, a Susana Lirola flamenco dress and an haute couture model by the designer Daniel Cerd\u00e1n.
\n\tThis exhibition is the first that Andaluc\u00eda is holding dedicated expressly to representing its identity through clothing and fashion as a vehicle for promoting its culture and tourism.
\n\tFor Moj\u00e1car it is a privilege to be able to represent Almer\u00eda province in this exhibition and present its typical costume, which is, at the same time, an important promotion of the locality\u2019s rich heritage value.
\n\tThe local council is excited about this new project, and invites all the friends of Moj\u00e1car in Seville, and of course all lovers of fashion, of Andaluc\u00eda, of its customs and festivities, to visit the beautiful facilities of the Museum of Arts and Popular Customs, and specifically, its exhibition Somos Abril.
\n\t\u201cSomos Abril, Andaluc\u00eda y sus fiestas a trav\u00e9s de la Moda\u201d, features more than 30 pieces, among them regional costumes like the C\u00e1diz \u201cPiconera\u201d, the mantilla in Sevilla and the Moj\u00e1car Tapada; flamenco costumes, such as those of Carmen Acedo, Sara de Ben\u00edtez and Loreto Mart\u00ednez, and couture and pr\u00eat-\u00e0-porter dresses, from labels like Juana Mart\u00edn, Mois\u00e9s Nieto and Antonio Garc\u00eda.
