{"id":20206,"date":"2023-07-10T14:00:14","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T12:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/las-banderas-azules-mojacar-ya-ondean-playas\/"},"modified":"2023-07-11T09:40:32","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T07:40:32","slug":"mojacars-blue-flags-are-now-flying-on-its-beaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacars-blue-flags-are-now-flying-on-its-beaches\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car\u00b4s Blue Flags are now flying on its beaches."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Now flying on the beaches of Moj\u00e1car are the four Blue Flags awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education, and which since 1987 have distinguished the beaches and ports that comply with a series of rigid environmental and services conditions.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\tThis year the beaches of El Cantal, Lance Nuevo, Marina de la Torre and Venta del Bancal-Ventanicas have renewed this distinction.<br \/>\n\tAt the official flag-raising ceremony which every year the Moj\u00e1car Council Government team carries out jointly with the managers of each area\u2019s most important hotels were present the Moj\u00e1car Mayor, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1, and the councillors Noem\u00ed Linares Ortiz, Mar\u00eda Gracia Alarc\u00f3n, Sergio Alonso and Jes\u00fas Montoya Gredilla.<br \/>\n\tRepresenting the hotel establishments were Bel\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, Mar Tramunt, Roger del Blanc and Sonia Le\u00f3n, managers and assistant managers of Best Pueblo Indalo, as well as Ricardo Escudero, Servigroup Area Manager, C\u00e1ndido Jim\u00e9nez, Hotel Oasis Manager, and Felicia Rodr\u00edguez from the Hotel Best Moj\u00e1car. Members of the rescue and lifesaving team monitoring the safety of Moj\u00e1car\u2019s beaches during this 2023 summer season were also present.<br \/>\n\tIt must be added that as well as these distinctions the beaches also have the Secretary of State for Tourism\u2019s SICTED quality award, also renewed this 2023 season, joining the Blue Flags and representing a double quality guarantee.<br \/>\n\tMoj\u00e1car Council has received these distinctions with satisfaction as they correspond to the recognition of the local authority\u2019s work to improve the Moj\u00e1car coastline.<br \/>\n\t Moj\u00e1car has 17 kilometres of fantastic coast. As well as these double award-winning and best-known beaches, you can also enjoy protected beaches on the outskirts of the urban areas, such as the Sombrerico and Granatilla, smaller, and while they don\u2019t have facilities, they have the charm of being in a natural environment.<br \/>\nIt is important to highlight the efforts of all the Council departments involved in maintaining and improving the optimum level of use of them all and presenting the highest level of quality that all Moj\u00e1car\u2019s beaches have, as well as the effort made equally by the tourism business sector and which with the local council works together throughout the year.<br \/>\nThe financial and human investment made in Moj\u00e1car\u2019s beaches has translated into an increase in services, personnel and the quality of their facilities.
