Moj\u00e1car was the setting for the final of the \u201cCosta de Almer\u00eda\u201d beach volleyball tournament, closing the provincial circuit that has passed through the localities of San Jos\u00e9 and San Juan de los Terreros. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\tA weekend that turned the Ventanicas beach into the centre of the sport of Beach Volleyball and of the best players in this discipline in the province with the turnout of the best teams and many members of the public who didn\u2019t want to miss this final.
\n\tThe gathering took place over the weekend. On Saturday 16 pairs competed in a tournament classified as local, the Hu\u00e9rcal-Overa team being the winners. Moj\u00e1car had its own representation with Alejandro Villegas and Daniel Flores.
\n\tOn Sunday the competition focused on the tour, with 25 pairs competing between the women\u2019s and men\u2019s categories in a day of excellent beach volleyball, with a high level of play which could be enjoyed on the courts set up on the Ventanicas beach, being a perfect setting for the competition and the practice of sport, as well as for holding the different events.
\n\tThe winners in the men\u2019s category were the brothers Alejandro and Javier Yuste. Darius Cernauskas and Jos\u00e9 Carlos Garc\u00eda achieved second place. Completing the podium were the pair Luori and Dimas from Lorca, classified in third place.
\n\tIn the women\u2019s category victory was gained by the duo made up of Andrea Narv\u00e1ez and Chanel Valderrama. Second place went to Sofia Smiehk and Elena Abtil, and third place went to Judith Ross and Jana Ross from Granada.
\n\tThe trophies were presented by the Moj\u00e1car Council Sports Councillor, Jes\u00fas Montoya Gredilla, and the Citizenship Councillor, Mar\u00eda Luisa P\u00e9rez L\u00f3pez.
