{"id":21080,"date":"2023-09-26T13:26:26","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T11:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/ayuntamiento-mojacar-organiza-una-excursion-las-cuevas-sorbas\/"},"modified":"2023-09-27T12:36:21","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T10:36:21","slug":"ayuntamiento-mojacar-organiza-una-excursion-las-cuevas-sorbas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/ayuntamiento-mojacar-organiza-una-excursion-las-cuevas-sorbas\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car organises an excursion to the Sorbas Caves"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Moj\u00e1car Council\u2019s Sports Department and the Almer\u00eda Provincial Council, through its Multiaventura programme, organised a visit to the Sorbas caves, bringing together families and residents of the town.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Exceeding the expected number, 52 residents, accompanied by the Sports Councillor Jes\u00fas Montoya Gredilla, began a cycle of excursions to the province\u2019s emblematic locations to discover their richness and their most beautiful corners.<br \/>\n\u00b4For this first trip they chose the Sorbas caves, an area specially protected by the Environment Regional Ministry\u2019s Provincial Delegation.<br \/>\nFrom the age of six and with no age limit, the group of visitors from Moj\u00e1car began their adventure at the Visitor Centre, where they were given information about the caves: their location in the more than six million years old Karst en Yesos natural landscape and the largest underground system in Spain.<br \/>\nThanks to the visitor centre experts, they also learned about how the caves formed and their origins.<br \/>\nIn the second part of the visit, and now accompanied by the centre\u2019s professional guides and teachers, they entered through one of the caves\u2019 routes and itineraries, being able to enjoy the natural works of art they offer and that are considered unique in our country.<br \/>\nThe excursion was a complete success and also an experience of a day as a family or with friends.
