The Izn\u00e1jar Mayor, Lope Ruiz L\u00f3pez, visited Moj\u00e1car accompanied by a delegation from the locality made up of Antonio Garc\u00eda, first Deputy Mayor and Tourism Councillor; Loles Campillos, Citizen Participation Councillor; Paqui Mar\u00edn, Equality Councillor; and Rub\u00e9n Lope, Social Welfare Councillor.
\n\tThe Cordaban locality of Izn\u00e1jar has been selected as a Pueblo Ferrero Rocher candidate for this Christmas 2023, and for this reason, a delegation from this municipality, with its mayor at the head, travelled to Moj\u00e1car to learn first-hand about their experience and the work carried out until becoming winners of the 2022 edition.
\nThey were received at the Town Hall by the Moj\u00e1car Mayor, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1; the Tourism Councillor, Mar\u00eda Gracia, and Carmen Garc\u00eda Campoy, director of the Moj\u00e1car Council Tourism Department.
\nFrancisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1 expressed his support for Izn\u00e1jar’s candidacy, as well as providing them with all assistance with whatever they may need.
\n Izn\u00e1jar is the only town representing Andalucia in the \u201cTogether We Shine More\u201d Ferrero Rocher campaign and that features the values and traditions of the Andalucian Community.
\nIn the meeting between the two mayors, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cerd\u00e1 highlighted the unprecedented relevance and impact of Moj\u00e1car’s participation in the Ferrero Rocher contest. As a result of this award, all forecasts for the increase in visits to the locality multiplied exponentially and the boost to breaking the seasonal nature of the tourist season was more than significant.
\nIn Moj\u00e1car there has been a before and after in its Christmas celebrations. In fact, the lights remained on until well into February on registering a large number of visitors who wanted to admire the impressive illumination and that did not end, even when the festivities were over.
\nThe whole of Izn\u00e1jar is now working on its candidacy and on its strategies to pass the first phase that would keep it in the competition. The Izn\u00e1jar delegation was able to share with Moj\u00e1car the ideas and plans that they are now carrying out for this purpose and they exchanged ideas and experiences about the contest.
