{"id":5711,"date":"2017-05-31T10:26:26","date_gmt":"2017-05-31T08:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/v-triatlon-cros-mojacar-2017-2\/"},"modified":"2017-05-31T10:41:03","modified_gmt":"2017-05-31T08:41:03","slug":"2017-mojacar-triathlon-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/2017-mojacar-triathlon-results\/","title":{"rendered":"2017 Moj\u00e1car Triathlon Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><strong>Sunday, May 28, saw the 5th annual Moj\u00e1car Cross Triathlon, a qualifying event in the Andalucian championship.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Triathlon was organized by Moj\u00e1car Council in collaboration with the Federaci\u00f3n Andaluza de Triatl\u00f3n and, coordinated by the sports event company Almeritair Sport.<\/p>\n<p>The swim had to be suspended due to the sea conditions but instead, the scheduled 6 kilometre run was increased to 10k by the organization. There was also a 20-kilometre cycle race that ran from Macenas beach to the Manaca chiringuito on &#8220;sombrerico&#8221; beach, then up to the hamlet of Sopalmo and back to Macenas.<\/p>\n<p>Bernardo Rubio, from El Ejido Triathlon Club, was the overall winner with a time of 1 hour and 33 minutes. In second position was Kilian Garc\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez frrom Club CTR 360 with a time of 1 hour and 35 minutes.  Juan Manu\u00e9l Tejada Mart\u00ednez, was classified third overall and first in the local competition.<\/p>\n<p>The first to finish in the women&#8217;s category was Elena Cavas Olmos, from the Mandareche Club Cartagena, with a time of 2 hours and 18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Around 60 athletes competed in Moj\u00e1car&#8217;s annual round of the Andalucian triathlon championship and the event passed without incident, except for the cancellation of the aquatic stage.<br \/>\nThe prizes were presented by Ana Garc\u00eda, Moj\u00e1car Sports Councillor, who thanked all competitors for their participation as well as all members of the supporting organization and volunteers who made the event possible. She also praised the safety and security team for their impeccable cooperation, which included; 20 Civil Protection volunteers from Moj\u00e1car, Turre and Carboneras, two mobile ambulances and a doctor, ATS volunteers, the Red Cross, Local Police and Guardia Civil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday, May 28, saw the 5th annual Moj\u00e1car Cross Triathlon, a qualifying event in the Andalucian championship.
