{"id":6893,"date":"2017-11-08T19:54:05","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T17:54:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/?p=6893"},"modified":"2017-11-08T19:54:05","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T17:54:05","slug":"mojacar-organized-the-6th-marathon-ciudad-de-mojacar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-organized-the-6th-marathon-ciudad-de-mojacar\/","title":{"rendered":"Successful 6th Half Marathon &#038; 7 km Race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><Last Sunday, Moj\u00e1car held both its sixth annual Half Marathon and 7 Kilometre \"Ciudad de Moj\u00e1car\" races, organized by the Town Council in co-ordination with the Nogalte Athletics Club .><\/p>\n<p>This year saw an increased number of competitors, with 370 runners taking to the circuit along the Paraje Marina de la Torre, facilitated by local Council. It is without doubt a beautifully scenic, virtually flat route by the sea, with three laps along the Paseo del Mediterr\u00e1neo for the Half Marathon runners and one lap for those doing 7km. The starting and finishing points were by Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Best Oasis Tropical Hotel and there were a host of prizes including those for the first three in the various categories, ten for the Half Marathon and five for the 7km race, for both men and women.<br \/>\nIn the longer event of over 21 kilometers, Blas Jes\u00fas Quiles Parra came first, with a time of 1.18.26, with Antonio Manuel D\u00edaz Rodr\u00edguez coming second and Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Garc\u00eda P\u00e9rez in third place. Esther G\u00e1lvez Jim\u00e9nez, with a time of 1.33.8, was the first in the women\u2019s group to cross the finishing line.
