{"id":7310,"date":"2018-02-24T11:49:48","date_gmt":"2018-02-24T09:49:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/escolares-celebra-dia-andalucia\/"},"modified":"2018-02-26T18:05:33","modified_gmt":"2018-02-26T16:05:33","slug":"shool-children-mojacar-celebrate-day-andalucia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/shool-children-mojacar-celebrate-day-andalucia\/","title":{"rendered":"Moj\u00e1car School children celebrate Andalucia Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Bartolom\u00e9 Flores school children had an early Andaluc\u00eda Day celebration with a party held during their morning break including a very typical Andaluc\u00edan breakfast..<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Usually schoolchildren celebrate this special day just before the actual date and again this year, due to the bank holiday, it was brought forward so that they could commemorate their regional day together.<\/p>\n<p>Moj\u00e1car Council provided the nutritious breakfast of bread with tomato and olive oil, which is found all over Andaluc\u00eda and, made with local products.<br \/>\nThe event was held around morning break time, with the mothers joining in to help.  Tables were laid out in the playground and a fun &#8220;photocall&#8221; station was set up consisting of a screen featuring a typical Andaluc\u00edan window with its iron grille and geraniums. The children put together characteristic items of Andaluc\u00edan attire in class such as hats, caps and flowers for the hair, which were worn with typical outfits for the party.<\/p>\n<p>Ana Garc\u00eda, Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Councillor for Education, joined in with the children\u2019s breakfast along with the mothers and teachers, an event which she said was the best way to celebrate this annual day by encouraging young people to keep their elders traditions alive.
