{"id":7593,"date":"2018-05-17T09:32:12","date_gmt":"2018-05-17T07:32:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/?p=7593"},"modified":"2018-05-17T09:32:12","modified_gmt":"2018-05-17T07:32:12","slug":"theatre-mojacar-pupils","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/theatre-mojacar-pupils\/","title":{"rendered":"The world of theatre comes to Moj\u00e1car pupils."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>The world of theatre comes to Moj\u00e1car pupils.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> \tWith the academic year drawing to a close, students at Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Rey Alabez Secondary School recently had the chance to enjoy some very different activities that aimed to complement their educational training with sessions of cultural and personal development.<br \/>\nOrganised by the Head of Moj\u00e1car Council\u2019s Culture Department, Raquel Belmonte, the youngest pupils took part in a Theatre Workshop, led by the talented actress, teacher, researcher, theatre director and plastic artist, Mar\u00eda del Carmen S\u00e1nchez. After an interesting talk on various perceptions on the world of theatre, the youngsters took part in fun exercises involving music, concentration, interpretation and improvisation.<br \/>\n\tMar\u00eda, who has been staying at the Valpara\u00edso Foundation in Moj\u00e1car having received a grant from her host and the local Council, has an impressive background in both the academic and art worlds of theatre, dramatic writing, directing, singing and dance.<br \/>\n\tDuring her stay in Moj\u00e1car, she also developed her writings and research on the work of Polish, director of avant-garde theatre, J. Grotowski, whilst sharing her residency at the Valpara\u00edso Foundation with other artists, writer Suneeta Peres da Costa and ceramist, Luc\u00eda D\u00edaz.<br \/>\nAs part of the events organized by the Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Culture Department and Almer\u00eda\u2019s Provincial Council, the 3rd and 4th year pupils also attended a performance of &#8220;Baroque Entremeses&#8221; in the town\u2019s Centro de Usos M\u00faltiples, which involved three short pieces interpreted by Pedro Y which interspersed storyline with the revelation of the characters\u2019 personalities. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The world of theatre comes to Moj\u00e1car pupils.
