{"id":8536,"date":"2018-10-16T13:40:05","date_gmt":"2018-10-16T11:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/?p=8536"},"modified":"2018-10-16T13:40:05","modified_gmt":"2018-10-16T11:40:05","slug":"mojacar-la-vieja-archaeological-projet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/mojacar-la-vieja-archaeological-projet\/","title":{"rendered":"The first findings of the 2018 &#8220;Moj\u00e1car la vieja&#8221; archaeological projet."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>On Friday, October 19th, at 7 p.m. at Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Centro de Usos M\u00faltiples, this summer\u2019s archaeological campaign \u2018Moj\u00e1car la Vieja\u2019 will be back on top of the town\u2019s cultural agenda with a free, public talk and exhibition.  <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The event will offer everyone a chance to find out about the preliminary results that have come out of the project\u2019s excavation work done on, what is, Moj\u00e1car\u2019s original settlement.<br \/>\n\tThe Biocultural Archaeology Laboratory team from Granada University\u2019s Medieval History Department, who were in charge of the excavation, are set to return to give feedback on their first impressions and findings now that they have had time to carry out a more detailed analysis of the work they carried out in July.<br \/>\nAround 60 archaeologists from all over Spain collaborated on the first phase of what is to be an ongoing project, with many local people joining in with organised events as well as some of the tasks that involved recovering access and revealing historical information at the site.<br \/>\nAt the event, those interested will get the opportunity also to view two photography exhibitions, with Emilio Aramburu\u2019s stunning shots taken throughout the excavations, which be shown alongside Roberto Manzano\u2019s 3D photographs of the first discoveries from \u2018Moj\u00e1car la Vieja.\u2019<br \/>\nMoj\u00e1car\u2019s Tourism Councillor, Emmanuel Ag\u00fcero Leclerc, will be present at the presentation along with the President of the Valpara\u00edso Foundation, Beatriz Beckett and, the Project Director, Teresa Santiago.<br \/>\nBoth Moj\u00e1car Council and the Valpara\u00edso Foundation have been the driving force behind the whole project, which ranks as one of the most important ventures in the town, for tourism as well as local history and culture.<br \/>\nTo add a finishing touch to the event, there will be flamenco music along with the chance to sample some of Moj\u00e1car\u2019s own artisan products. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, October 19th, at 7 p.m. at Moj\u00e1car\u2019s Centro de Usos M\u00faltiples, this summer\u2019s archaeological campaign \u2018Moj\u00e1car la Vieja\u2019 [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":8532,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"rs_blank_template":"","rs_page_bg_color":"","slide_template_v7":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[34,32,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8536","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualidad-en","category-news","category-uncategorized"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8536","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=8536"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8536\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/8532"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=8536"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=8536"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.mojacar.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=8536"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
