Mojácar strengthens its position as a Tourist Destination of excellence in 2025
Mojácar, 4th of June 2025
Mojácar continues consolidating its position as one of the most outstanding tourist destinations on the Spanish coast, thanks to a firm commitment to quality, sustainability, and comprehensive care of the visitor experience. In addition to the natural, historical, and cultural attractions this Almería municipality offers, there are also the important recognitions that endorse the joint work of the Local Council, local businesses, and the tourism sector as a whole.
In 2025, Mojácar has renewed and expanded its commitment to tourism excellence, obtaining various national and international quality certifications, among which the following stand out:
- Five Blue Flags on the beaches of El Cantal, El Descargador, Lance Nuevo, Marina de la Torre and Venta del Bancal – Ventanicas, which certify the cleanliness of the water, safety, available services, and environmental management.
- Obtaining the Q for Tourism Quality for beaches and services that comply with rigorous standards.
- The S for Sustainable Tourism, which recognises destinations committed to the protection of the environment and the development of responsible tourism.
- The active and ongoing adherence to the Comprehensive System for Tourism Quality in Destinations (SICTED), promoted by the State Secretariat for Tourism, which promotes constant improvement in management and visitor service.
In the words of the Tourism Councillor, María Gracia Alarcón: “These distinctions are not a simple recognition, but rather a reflection of the constant and professional work of the entire Mojácar tourism network. We strive to offer excellent services, friendly and attentive service and the highest quality in all aspects of the tourist experience. Mojácar is synonymous with trust and quality.”
With an offer that balances nature, history, cuisine, culture and hospitality, Mojácar registers high levels of satisfaction and loyalty among its visitors. Tourism here is not perceived as a mass product, but rather as a carefully designed, human and authentic experience.
The Mojácar Mayor, Francisco García, highlights the municipality’s unique value compared to other destinations: “Mojácar is not just another destination. Those who visit us know it: here they find an ideal place to unwind, to feel well treated and to experience unforgettable moments. We are a municipality that doesn’t sell prices, but rather quality. Those who come looking for the best will find it here.”
Mojácar continues to work on a responsible, sustainable and long-term tourism model, with the aim of remaining a benchmark for those seeking more than just a holiday: an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
