Last night Mojácar once again turned into the epicentre of romanticism with the celebration of the 9th edition of its Night of Romance, an event that brought together nearly 8,000 people on its streets decked out for the occasion. Locals and tourists enjoyed an evening full of music, candles, unique decorations and activities designed to celebrate love in one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.

The most moving moment of the night came when a Mojácar couple, overcome with emotion and surrounded by applause, starred in a marriage proposal, sealing their commitment in front of family, friends and onlookers who joined in the celebration with cheers and congratulations.

The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García Cerdá, highlighted the excellent reception of the event, affirming “The Night of Romance is now an unmissable event on Mojácar’s calendar, not only for locals but also for hundreds of visitors who come to share the magic and charm of our municipality.”

The Tourism Councillor, María Gracia Alarcón, expressed her satisfaction with how the event had turned out, commenting that “Mojácar has managed to turn this event into a first-class tourist attraction, able of protecting our image as a romantic and quality destination.”

The evening was rounded off with live concerts, candlelit strolls and large groups of dancing, which contributed to a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The organisers plan to repeat the experience next year with new offerings to continue surprising all those who want to celebrate love in Mojácar.
