The beaches of Mojácar renew their Sicted Quality Stamp, as do its tourist Office and some of the locality´s establishments.
Mojácar Council has renewed its SICTED Comprehensive System for Spanish Tourism Destination Quality distinction for five of Mojácar’s beaches, as well as its tourist office, having continuously been distinguished with this recognition since 2015.
Mojácar Council has for several years through its Tourism Department successfully opted for the management of its tourist offices and its beaches with the comprehensive quality this distinction demands.
The official presentation of these awards was made by representatives of the Levante region of Almería Grouping of Municipalities at the Garrucha Cultural Centre and collected by the Mojácar Council Tourism Councillor, Emmanuel Agüero Leclerc, and the Director of the Tourism department, Carmen García Campoy.
The evaluation committee has awarded the Playa Venta del Bancal, Playa de las Ventanicas, Playa Piedra Villazar, Playa del Descargador and Playa Marina de la Torre beaches the SICTED stamp.
As well as these beaches and the Mojácar Tourist Office, two of the municipality’s establishments were distinguished: Hotel Mamabel’s and the Neptuno beach bar.
SICTED is a project to improve the quality of tourist destinations promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism, SETUR and the Junta de Andalucía’s Regional Tourism and Sport Ministry with the aim of improving tourist experience and satisfaction.
These distinctions are the support for the “Tourism Quality Commitment” recognition, which credits and recognises the efforts made by tourism services to reinforce quality. The distinction is valid for two years, although it is conditional on an annual follow-up evaluation by their inspectors.
The recognition which these beaches have received this year by the Secretary of State for Tourism is on top of the recognition they habitually receive with the Blue Flags, which the European Foundation for Environmental Education awards annually, and which every summer fly on the beaches of Mojácar.
Mojácar Council has expressed its satisfaction with these awards, which together with the Blue Flags, also renewed on six of its beaches for 2022, represent a guarantee of quality for the tourist and support for its management and the intense work carried out over the years in this sector, highlighting one of the municipality’s most important attractions.
The financial and human investment in the beaches of Mojácar has resulted in an increase in services, personnel and the quality of their facilities.
Quality and effort that extends to all the services which the municipality offers to the visitor and that amply justifies the distinctions which SICTED awards to Mojácar.
