This Sunday 17th of November, Mojácar municipality will be transformed into a world of magic and fantasy with the celebration of the third edition of the Disney Festivity.

From 11am the village’s streets will be filled with music, colour and activities for the whole family. With an atmosphere inspired by the classic Disney characters and films, this event has become one of the most highly-anticipated of the year in the municipality.
The main events of the day will begin at 12pm with the parade of the Star Wars 501st Legion, a unique show that will go around the streets with the saga’s iconic characters. In addition, at 1.30pm the magician Álex Herrán will present a magic show for the enjoyment of old and young. Meanwhile, from 11.30am the little ones will be able to enjoy different crafts and dance workshops and a face painting space.
The themed areas will be spread out throughout the village, offering different Disney experiences:
– In Plaza Nueva, visitors will be able to enjoy the presence of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, explore Captain Hook’s ship and delight in the best food trucks and a magic show.
– In Plaza del Frontón, the best-known superheroes, like Spiderman, Captain America and the Scarlet Witch, will welcome fans for an adventure full of excitement.
– Plaza Arbolollón will host the Disney Castle, where children will be able to meet the Disney princesses, while in Plaza Parterre visitors will immerse themselves in the magic of Beauty and the Beast.
According to the Mojácar Mayor, Francisco García Cerdá: “This event is an example of the joint effort between the Local Council and the citizens of Mojácar. In this third edition we expect to exceed the expectations of previous years and welcome hundreds of visitors, further consolidating Mojácar as a unique tourist destination, full of magic and tradition.”
This event is not only a celebration of the magic of Disney, but also has a special link with Mojácar’s history, as the village is known for the legend that Walt Disney could have been born there.
The festivity is designed for the whole family, with activities for all ages, from the very youngest to the adults. Those coming along are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite characters to enjoy the day even more.
