Theatre in Mojácar continues to triumph this November
The theatre programme in Mojácar continues to reap success at the Multi-Uses Centre, with a reception exceeding all expectations. Every Friday, since the theatre cycle began, the response from the public has been overwhelming. The hall is filled week after week with spectators, not only from Mojácar but also from nearby municipalities, attracted by the quality of the works and the welcoming atmosphere offered by this cultural space.
The Culture Councillor, Noemí Linares, has been particularly pleased with the development of the cycle. In her words, “The response from the public has been incredible. We knew that Mojácar had a loyal theatre audience, but the support we are receiving this November is exceptional. Seeing how the hall is filled every Friday is a clear sign that culture is still alive in Mojácar, and it is something that fills us with pride.”
The Mojácar theatre cycle began with great success with the first performance on the 8th of November with the play “Juana”, a fascinating story that made an impression on the audience and set the tone for the rest of the programme.
The following event on the 15th of November was the comedy “La familia del anticuario” (The antique dealer’s family), a comedy full of family entanglements that managed to get the audience laughing out loud. The play, in addition to being entertaining, managed to connect with the audience, thanks to the improvisation of the actors. “We are seeing entire families going to the theatre together, which shows that we are offering content that appeals to all ages. It is a real pleasure to see how theatre brings together different generations in the same space,” commented Mojácar Mayor, Francisco García Cerdá.
This cycle still has a lot to offer. Next Friday, the 22nd of November, comedy returns with a vengeance with “Antes muerta que convicta” (Dead before convicted), a work that promises to be one of the most hilarious moments of the month with the renowned actress Beatriz Rico in the leading role. The cycle will conclude on the 29th of November with the performance of “Ay, Carmela!”, one of the most highly-anticipated works.
The November theatre programme in Mojácar is part of a clear commitment by the Local Council to promote local culture and bring theatre to all audiences.
