Mojácar promotes wellbeing with a therapeutic exercise workshop for the elderly

Mojácar Town Council has joined the XV Healthy Habits Week promoted by the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian Regional Government, through a therapeutic exercise workshop for the elderly of the community.

The event, which took place last Friday, was part of a healthy week in the province and was very well received by the residents of the municipality. The activities included therapeutic exercise, stretching and relaxation, and was attended by around twenty students, ranging in age from 60 to 70 years old.

Before the activity began, the Sports Department of Mojácar Town Council offered breakfast to “charge the batteries” ready for the activity, reiterating its commitment to the wellbeing and promotion of a healthy lifestyle for local residents.

The physiotherapists, Silvia Ferrer and Paloma Collado, were in charge of leading the workshop, highlighting the importance of participants seeing the benefits of therapeutic exercise. José Luis Ordóñez, who also collaborated in the event, stressed the importance of taking care of the body and staying active.

The positive response to the workshop has generated considerable interest among the participants, who expressed their wish to participate in future similar events.
