Mojácar shines with the New 2024 Christmas Campaign
“Mojácar, Light of Christmas” marks the beginning of a holiday season full of magic and activities for all audiences.
The mayor, Francisco García Cerdá, and the Councillor for Tourism, María Gracia Alarcón, have presented the new Christmas campaign, which will officially begin on November 30 with the traditional lighting ceremony at 7:00 PM, preceded by a light and music show at 6:30 PM—an event that has become one of the most anticipated moments of Christmas in the province.
During the presentation, the mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García, stated: “This year, we wanted to highlight what makes us unique: the special light that fills our streets and hearts every Christmas. Since we earned the title of Ferrero Rocher Village in 2022, we continue to shine with the same excitement. We want everyone to experience Christmas in a unique way here in Mojácar.”
The first event of the program will be the eagerly awaited lighting of the Christmas lights, which will take place on November 30 at 7:00 PM in Plaza Nueva. The afternoon will begin with a spectacular show by Cía Pablo Méndez, ‘ONIRIA,’ a visual performance full of magic that will delight all attendees. At 7:00, the village will be illuminated with the Christmas lights, followed by a concert by ‘Chanqueños Pa Belén,’ which will bring the sounds and typical songs of the Christmas zambomba, kicking off the festive season with joy.
Since Mojácar was named a Ferrero Rocher Village in 2022, the town has established itself as one of the most prominent Christmas destinations in southeastern Spain. Last Christmas season, more than 20,000 visitors enjoyed the activities and the unique atmosphere in Mojácar. This year, with the new slogan “Mojácar, Light of Christmas,” they expect to exceed that number, offering a program that combines the best of tradition with new surprises for all.
Mojácar’s Christmas campaign offers activities for all ages and tastes, including:
– The traditional Christmas Market in Plaza del Frontón, where visitors can find handcrafted products, unique gifts, and the best typical Christmas sweets.
– Children’s activities with games, creative workshops, and entertainment for the little ones, making Mojácar an ideal destination for families.
– The classic Zambombada, which will take traditional Christmas music through the streets of the village, creating a festive and communal atmosphere.
– A varied program of concerts and performances at different spots throughout the village, ensuring entertainment for all tastes.
The mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García, invited everyone to join the campaign: “We want Mojácar to be the light that guides everyone’s Christmas. Every corner of the village will be filled with life, joy, and magic. We are sure it will be an unforgettable Christmas for all.”
Mojácar continues to shine and grow as a Christmas destination, preserving its charm and tradition, and strengthening its image as a magical place to experience the holidays in a unique way.
