The return of Mojácar´s “Paseo del arte” show.

Mojácar’s Promenade will once transform itself into an open-air gallery with a sea view, as the “Paseo del Arte” initiative returns with more than 150 works on show by numerous artists keen to be part of this great event.

“El Paseo del Arte” began this spring with the help of local artists, residents and regular visitors of Mojácar who, with the collaboration of the local Council, decided to keep up the artistic trail set up by so many great artists who have chosen the town as a reference point for their work.
However, in addition to it being a splendidly located exhibition where passers-by can admire and purchase the artists’ work, “El Paseo del Arte” brings both art and solidarity together, since 20% of the proceeds are given to humanitarian causes.
After the summer break, the show’s starts again on Saturday 3 November with some new initiatives and a tribute to Elaine Brown, the founder of the local association MACS, that has helped cancer sufferers and their families with all kinds of support since it began. Elaine, as many people know, also suffered with this terrible disease and sadly passed away recently despite her long and brave fight, setting an example for everyone with her commitment and generosity.
All the artists involved have agreed that the money raised in this relaunch will be used for a bench with a plaque of honour in her name on Mojácar’s Paseo Marítimo which will be placed in the exhibition area.
Once again there will be the fun “people’s painting”, in which all passers-by can join in by adding a touch of their handiwork to a painting set up by the organizers until it is completed. Afterwards, the final piece will be auctioned on Facebook, with the proceeds going to charity.
The event will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Mojácar Seafront in front of the Pueblo Indalo and on Sunday, at the same time, at the nearby Hotel Puntazo situated on the Mojácar beach road.
