The Three Kings visit Mojácar to hand out gifts to all the Town´s children

Their Majesties, the Magi, once again kept their promise to stop by Mojácar from the East to give gifts to all the local children.

After an official welcome from Mojácar’s Mayor, Rosmari Cano and her Government Team, the Kings travelled on their carriage from the Plaza Nueva to the Centro de Usos Múltiples, where they handed out the first delivery of toys to Mojácar’s children, with high hopes of more to arrive later at home.

The three wise men were accompanied by a collection of famous characters, as as well as elves, pages and some life size Christmas decorations that had burst into life for the occasion.

All shared the important task of handing out 500 Kilos of sweets, 250 toy animals, 100 small gifts, confetti, streamers and balloons whilst greeting the crowd of children and adults, all gathered on this very special day full of hopes, smiles and happiness, especially for the little ones.

Once at their destination, they distributed gifts to around 700 children born and registered in Mojácar between 2007 and 2018, presents especially chosen by their Majesties to suit each child.
The Magi called out the children, one by one in alphabetical order, starting with the youngest ones. No child, however, left without a gift, as Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar always ask at the end if there is anyone that has not been named, so they could also receive a present.

With so many toys to hand out, their Majesties relied on the added help of the Mayor and her Councillors, who wanted to ensure that the Magi of the East would not run out of time to later get around all the homes in the town.
