Mojácar Municipal Music School students offered their Spring Concert in Plaza del Frontón, attended by many local residents and visitors, who did not want to miss this well-loved event.
Under the title “Spring Concert”, eight piano class students aged from eight to 30 presented a varied programme ranging from classical music to the best-known tunes from the soundtracks of great cinema successes, all under the direction of their teacher Yolanda Parra.
These concerts, performed by piano class students, are a regular event in Mojácar throughout the year, although their most significant coincides with the celebration of Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music and poets.
The piano classes, included at the Mojácar Municipal Music School, have more than 30 students of all ages and levels.
Their teacher, Yolanda Parra, gives classes separated by levels, every afternoon from Monday to Friday from 1.30pm to 10pm. A very open timetable to allow access to everyone interested in learning.
The piano is one of the most complete harmonic musical instruments there is and can be used for interpretation in various ways: soloists, chamber music and accompanied. It is also a very important element for composing and rehearsing different kinds of melodies.
For anyone interested in learning, whatever their age, the registration period for the next course is now open; they can formalise their registration at the Municipal Music School located in Mojácar’s Multi-Uses Centre.
