The artist Teresa Nájera exhibits her latest works in Mojácar.

The “La Fuente de Mojácar” Municipal Art Centre has opened its doors to the works of Teresa Nájera, who is exhibiting her works until the end of April.

Born in Logroño, Teresa Nájera is a great admirer of Mojácar and a painting lover. Settled in the locality, she studied Applied Arts in La Rioja and has taken part in numerous painting and visual art courses, exhibiting her works throughout Spain since 2011.
Although she has mastered all techniques, watercolour is Teresa Nájera’s favourite, doing a masters with great international artists like Álvaro Castagnet, rated as the world’s best watercolourist, and with Manuel Jiménez, among others.
This is not the first time she has exhibited in Mojácar, where she has participated in individual and collective exhibitions.
On this occasion she is presenting 30 works, mainly oil paintings, in which she uses a special technique: she prints a background of gold, silver or copper leaf on the canvas and then paints on top of it.
Worth noting on this occasion in Mojácar is the decision to include paintings inspired by bullfighting, which is well received in her homeland and also in Andalucía. The works which characterise her, like the portraits and the human figure, could not be left out. Moments of personal vision about society in her mastery of the human figure, the nude and movement.
Present at the inauguration was Mojácar Council Culture Councillor, Raquel Belmonte, who had the opportunity to visit the exhibition with the artist.
Raquel Belmonte highlighted Teresa Nájera’s mastery and how well-received her works always are with the public.
The “Fuente de Mojácar” Municipal Art Centre is open to the public free of charge Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 1pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm.
